On Saturday we went for some fun in the sun and decided to join the other idiots parents by bringing our children to the amusement park.  The lines to some of the rides were longggggggggg I’m glad we just bought tickets instead of an all-day pass.

Here are a few cousins on the log ride.  Yes I know it looks like there are only two on there. That’s because when you duck way down and make your parents think you fell out, you don’t show up in the pictures.

Here they are again on the train ride.  Notice the roller coaster in the back? It’s name is “The Legend”.  The roller coaster was built in 1927 and is the 13th oldest roller coaster in the US.  Yeah, we didn’t ride that ride, I’m pretty sure that there is some original wood on it, if ya know what I mean.  *gulp*

I think they had more fun LEAVING the park. They liked locking eachother in behind the “jail” bars.   (I know I’m a whiz with photoshop aren’t I?!  My  skillzzz are to be admired).

That’s me.  D.O.A.  A weekend of amusement park, bonfire, restaurant meals (I know feel sorry for me - bwahahhhahha) & PEOPLE (family), LOTS & LOTS OF PEOPLE!  I feel like I’m a walking corpse.  I DO have pictures but I have not trained my corpse body to upload them yet, so they’ll have to wait until I rise from the ashes.

We’re going for a day of “rest & relation” today.  I promise to post some pictures this week.  Cuz I got some fun ones of log rides, sunsets & the gorgeous lake.

Oh have I mentioned I’ve also been busy with Bissfully Domestic RELAUNCH?  (Coming to an on-line magazine near you in just over a WEEK!  SQUEEEEE).  Well, I have!  I swear I have sent out 47839478340 contributor invites to the site (cuz that’s what the Chief Information Officer does).  And I’m working on rounding up more Financial contributors (cuz that’s what the Financial Editor does).  We’re up to 21 but we need about 20 more.  Contact me if you are interested or know of someone who might be.

We’ll be spending the weekend with family for one last hoor-ahh before school starts on Wednesday.  This is our second family reunion in a month.  We plan to go to the local amusement park, although Master Brilliant seems to think he is too “old” for that.  HA!  So, we’ll see what happens.

Monday we head out for a day of relaxation and fun, just the three of us.

We’re fight the funk frump with Mrs Fussypants this week!

Ever had a week days day go by and you totally spaced off taking a shower?  ME TOO!   Does it sneak up on you too?  I mean one day you are just fresh & clean and the next thing you know 2 1/2 days have gone by and you think - WHAT is that smell?  Oh it’s ME!

So, don’t wait for OSHA to com’a knockin with a toxic smell warning like they did to me….go take a shower.  It’ll defunkfrump you in no time!

I’m joining Mrs Fussy for another week of “Life doesn’t suck as much as I thought” event. And this week I’m thankful for corn.  Yes, CORN!  Why?  Because we’re stocked full for at least a year (and if we stretch it, maybe two years).  We live in the land of abundant corn-age so we got 250 ears for FREE from a local farmer.Ever wondered what 250 ears looks like?

And completed corn.  I HIGHLY recommend getting a Reynolds vacuum sealer. SO MUCH faster than the traditional way of cooking it first & then freezing.

Next up? Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes!

And yes we always throw our food on the floor before eating it, don’t you?!

What do they have in common?   Why Master Brilliant of course!

Monday night was the “uniform fitting” night.  We start practices on Wednesday.  Then it’s football all through the fall!

Yesterday he started his paper route.  It’s great cuz it’s just one day a week after school.  A van picks them up from the school & drops them off at home when they are done. 

So if you see a faceless blonde kid running through your yard with a paper, feed him will ya?
